We’re excited for our next concert: Echoes of the 20th Century – a musical journey exploring 20th-century European sacred choral music. Join us on Saturday 29 November at 7.30pm for an evening of exquisite choral works. The programme includes: • Missa Brevis (Kodály) by Zoltán Kodály • Ubi Caritas (Gjeilo) by Ola Gjeilo • Quatre Motets (Duruflé) and Notre Père (Duruflé) by Maurice Duruflé • Hymne à la Vierge (Villette) by Jean Villette • A Hymn to the Virgin (Britten) by Benjamin Britten • Cantique de Jean Racine (Fauré) by Gabriel Fauré This is an extraordinary programme of sacred choral gems from across Europe, spanning the 20th century. Norfolks leading amateur chamber choir Norfolks leading amateur chamber choir Norfolks leading amateur chamber choir We have an exciting programme planned for our 20242025 season starting with our concert on 23rd Nov featuring Requiems by John Rutter and Gabriel Faure as well as Herbert Howells Take Him Earth for Cherishing written in memory of John F. Kennedy. On 22nd February we will be performing a selection of unaccompaniedrepertoire from around the globe including Barbers choral arrangement of his Adagio for Strings with music by Byrd Grieg Poulenc Elgar Palestrina and others. Our next concert Stabat Mater Saturday 26 April 2025 Saturday 26th April Venue St Georges Church 223 Sprowston Road Norwich NR3 4HZ Time 7.
