1940s VICTORY CELEBRATION- To mark 80 years since the end of the Second World War, Wymondham Heritage Museum will be hosting a '1940s Victory Celebration' Day on Sat 5th July 2025. A date chosen to fall roughly between VE and VJ Days to celebrate and honour both in equal measure, the event will feature live music, poetry readings, town tours, reenactors, vintage vehicles, a code breaking experience for both kids and adults, games, a craft station, special exhibitions and archival openings, a special memorial exhibition collaboration with the FEPOW Church, Our Lady and St Thomas of Canterbury, dressing up, stalls, vintage tearoom, a ration experience, loads for kids, and lots more! The event will run from 10am-5pm and is FREE ENTRY! We can't wait to see you there! 🇬🇧 (fb)
On Sunday, several members of the museum team visited the 1940s day at Bressingham Steam and Gardens, and they couldn't have enjoyed it more ! We're so pleased we were able to go and support them and send the biggest thanks and well done for putting on the best day 🇬🇧 (fb)

Email Menu Content Wymondham Heritage Society Who Are We. The Wymondham Heritage Society a registered charity has been much involved with the history and environment of the town for many years. It is a local amenity society affiliated to the Campaign for the Protection of Rural England CPRE Norfolk and the Norfolk Rural Community Council and it also has a good relationship with the Town Council. Through all these contacts it seeks to maintain and enhance the character of the historic market town of Wymondham and the surrounding countryside.
