Good luck to everyone who is taking part in the Manchester Half Marathon on Sunday, especially Keira Penney and Heather Green. Victoria Hull and her partner, Paul are also taking part in this fantastic event, the last in their challenge following the Middlesbrough 10k and the Redcar Half Marathon. Thursday thank you 💜 A great day to say a big thank you to Dr Ajay Dhaygude who climbed Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the British Isles, for Kidneys for Life at the end of September. Ajay, one of Kidneys for Life Trustees, has raised an incredible £1200 for our lovely charity so far. Dr Dhaygude is a brilliant supporter of Kidneys for Life, he regularly attends our events such as our recent Sunday Lunch and we are very grateful for his continued support and fantastic fundraising 💜 (fb)

A new kidney can transform a life but we cant guarantee it will last forever. Kidneys for Life who are we and what do we do. We are a wellestablished local charity set up in 1976 and our main focus is to provide funding for research projects into all things kidney related over 260000 in the North West alone suffer with chronic kidney disease and as it stands whilst there are treatments including a transplant for kidney disease there is no cure. We provide starter level funding for research projects which focus on improving dialysis ways to make transplanted kidneys last longer and also crucially ways to detect early stage kidney disease.
