From July 25th 2025, the online world took on a new change 🌐 Regulator Ofcom is now enforcing the Online Safety Act 2023 in the UK, introducing strict age-checking measures to stop children from accessing harmful or age-inappropriate content. And no, it's not just porn. This includes material on suicide, self-harm, and other content that's damaging for young minds 🚫 So the legislation includes social media and gaming platforms too. Tech companies that don’t comply face fines of up to £18 million or 10% of global revenue 💸 RSVP deals with the issue of safeguarding children, both online and in the real world. And these government efforts are aimed to tackling child sexual exploitation and grooming across online spaces.
