🇬🇧 ✌️Today marks 80 years since VE Day — Victory in Europe, 8th May 1945. 🇬🇧✌️ Just three months later, the Dalston Agricultural Society held the “Victory” Show on Monday 6th August 1945 — a celebration of peace, community, and country life. We’re proud to share the original catalogue and schedule covers from that historic day, featuring a grand line-up: 10th Cameronians Pipe Band, Highland Dancers, Hound & Puppy Trails, Donkey Derby, and of course a Grand Dance in the Marquee! A reminder of how rural communities like ours came together after wartime hardship — something still at the heart of Dalston Show today.
