👋Hi! I’m John, the new Young People’s Volunteer Coordinator at Barnsley CVS. 🫱🏼‍🫲🏽I’ve spent the last six years working with charities and non-profit organisations across South Yorkshire in a variety of capacities, primarily supporting people of all ages to access volunteering in their local communities. In this role, I’ll be supporting young people (mostly those under the age of 18) to access suitable volunteering activities, and will be working with VCSE’s in Barnsley to create and promote volunteering roles for young people that will be safe, meaningful and rewarding. ☺️🤩 🙋🏻‍♂️I believe that volunteering should be something that is accessible to everyone and that young people have a wealth of unique skills and life experiences to offer to VCSEs in Barnsley, so I’m excited to get started in my new role!
