Ever wanted to visit a place that changed the world? The Old Furnace in Coalbrookdale, built in 1708, is the original furnace where Abraham Darby I perfected the world-changing iron smelting technique. This technique was the spark that ignited the Industrial Revolution and led to the creation of the world's first cast iron bridge, aptly named the Iron Bridge. Now, the Ironbridge Gorge is a UNESCO World Heritage Site associated with the beginnings of the Industrial Revolution and known throughout the world. Worth a visit, don't you think? 😍 (fb)
