This year, the Derwent Valley Shooting Club has raised an incredible £4,154 for Willow Burn Hospice, taking their total donations since 1999 to nearly £75,000. The club's journey of support began in memory of Peggy Sharpe and for more than 25 years they have fundraised for their Local Hospice with a charity shooting match. To commemorate this remarkable achievement, we invited the club to place dedicated bricks in Memory Lane at Willow Burn in memory of beloved members. A special thank you to the teachers and children at Lanchester EP Primary School for the very warm welcome given to Mr Will O'Burn this morning. As usual, Will caused hilarity in assembly and gave the children a morning they won't forget in a while.
