Over 100 families joined us for #BabyFest at The New Art Gallery Walsall as part of #WorldBreastfeedingWeek - a celebration of parenting, support and community! 🌟 Hosted by Walsall Family Hubs, in collaboration with Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust, whg and other local partners, the event was packed with activities for all ages, from arts and crafts, sensory play and storytelling to workshops and advice sessions. Families received support on everything from pregnancy and infant feeding to vaccinations, early development and local services. 🦡 We're heartbroken to share that the nose of our beloved badger sculpture—installed just last month at the entrance to the new Reedswood Woodland Walk—has been broken off in an act of vandalism. 😢 The sculpture was installed on July 10 as part of a wider effort to enhance Reedswood Park’s natural beauty and accessibility. 🌳 The project has already made a huge difference: ✅ Opened up woodland previously affected by litter and anti-social behaviour ✅ Installed new steps to link the woodland and pool ✅ Resurfaced paths for a smoother, more inclusive walk ✅ Received positive feedback from park users This senseless act undermines the hard work and community spirit that went into improving the park for everyone.
