🤩One of our wonderful members of Community Choir, Kate, has sent a poem that she shared today, which we’d like to share with you all. See how many of this year’s hits you can spot! 🤩 "I heard it through the grapevine that the Elgar Community Choir was going on safari We met Down by the riverside to decide when we’d be Leaving on a jet plane That’s obviously the best way to get Beyond the sea, And to find those Country roads near where the Lion sleeps tonight. We gathered Downtown by the light of the Blue Moon to catch our flight With a little help from my friends they Helped me make it through the night We were greeted on the plane with shouts of Come fly with me And tucked in to our complementary tea, after all, The best things in life are free! If I were a rich man, I could be a real Big Spender and we could stay in luxury Sadly, in our tents we couldn’t avoid the Stormy weather But hey, we amused ourselves Singing in the rain in harmony together And decided to Follow the heron to Somewhere? We created a wonderful Memory on our little safari Just Try to remember that brilliant adventure Consider yourself lucky or is it my Pure imagination?
