Across all 14 of our Houses, our amazing teams have gone all out organising parties and planning fun activities to bring a little extra fun this Halloween. 🎃✨ From pumpkin carving and fancy dress to spooky snacks and games, it’s all about filling the Houses with warmth and excitement. Even when times are difficult, moments like these remind us that there’s still room for laughter, creativity, and togetherness. This is your reminder that one of our gorgeous families are featured on DIY SOS tonight on BBC One at 8pm 🫶. The programme features eight-year-old Rafi who was left with brain damage after suddenly falling seriously ill. At Ronald McDonald House Charities UK, we were proud to support Rafi’s family while he was in hospital and now the family are finally able to return home after DIY SOS have transformed their home. Rafi's dad Dean said: “We are so blessed and infinitely grateful to the BBC DIY SOS team and the Bracknell community for building us a home where we can take Rafi to his highest potential. Ronald McDonald House Charites UK was first in line to provide support, which lasted almost a year. They gave us a ‘home away from home’, a place where we could be together as a family, a moment’s walk away from our son’s hospital bed. We cannot thank Ronald McDonald House Southampton and their staff enough for their provision of a safe place and we will never ever forget that chapter of our lives.” (fb)
