🎻 Bravo, Seth Nel! 🌟 Last night’s regular rehearsal took a turn in the form of the Saint-Saëns’ Cello Concerto No. 1. Seth who plays in the GSO cello section gave us a performance which was nothing short of electrifying. Seth brought the passion, precision, and lyricism this masterpiece demands — and then some. Seth has been a regular member of the orchestra since September 2024. He is currently studying an honours degree in music with a specialism in cello performance. Seth’s favourite piece of music to play is Elgar’s Cello Concerto, this is the first piece of music he really fell in love with. Seth is looking forward to playing the Elgar concerto with another local orchestra in Guildford this October! When Seth is not in Guildford he enjoys taking part in masterclasses around Europe and Mexico with some really cool cellists. There’s no doubt that Seth’s hopes and dreams of becoming a professional soloist are on the horizon. 👏🏼Let’s hear it for Seth! (fb)
