With these autumn rainstorms all day, it's nice to look back at the hot days of the summer. Many thanks to Galvin Weston for providing financial support and allowing us on his marsh to take samples for our Leverhulme Trust funded coring project that we are delivering in partnership with the Universities and Warwick and St Andrews. Doing all our work underwater would make us too pruny, so we depend on seaside places like Weston Marsh to let us dip our toes in and then do a little digging. Sediments contain so much information about the past such as sea level change, plants and animal habitation, change in wind and erosion and so much more! Even these lobster lollipops love lithics. Just like the lobster that showed us the lithics of Bouldnor Cliff way back in the 90s. Sea creatures seem to love maritime archaeology too.
