We're pleased to say we have a number of species thriving on our land. In recent weeks we've been observing a Great Spotted Woodpecker hollowing out a cherry tree in our woodland. As many of you will know, we have had various projects ongoing since the Q3 of 2024. One of these was for a building construction at our land near Beccles, we're pleased to report much of this is now complete. We are very grateful for the support, services and assistance of TW Page and Son (water installation), Gary Lambert Construction (groundworks), Graham Heath Construction Ltd, MW Surfacing Ltd, Precision Doors, Keith Hall Contracting Limited, Anglia Technology, Wellington Security Products, and finally Aspect Group Services (electrical and solar). We are indebted to the Late Mary Blomfield who bequeathed the charity funds that enabled us to fulfil this. From the land purchase through to construction completion, this would not have been possible without her extremely generous gift. The Douglas and Joanne Chapman Trust supported the costs of the water connection for which we are very grateful. We also received a generous grant from the Geoffrey Watling Charity towards the solar and energy installation too. Charities such as ours could not continue to operate without such support and legacies. Voluntary donations and fundraising would not cover all our associated costs each year, and that's with no staff costs as we're all volunteers. We are looking to work towards increasing corporate support we receive, this substantially assists many larger organisations whilst being a fully tax-deductible expense for the business concerned. This type of support really can help to make some of the smaller charities like ours more resilient.
