☀SUMMER SAFETY UPDATE☀ As happy as we are that the Mid Welsh summer has arrived, unfortunately the dry conditions also mean an increased fire risk along our railway line. To keep our passengers, staff, and our surrounding countryside safe in these conditions, we have made the decision to replace all steam locos with Diesel for the remainder of today and tomorrow (14 and 15 May). This will greatly reduce the risk of line-side fires. We know that many of our visitors come to see, smell, and hear our steam locomotives, and we realise that this announcement might cause some disappointment. But we also know that you all care for the safety of people and the environment, and are therefore grateful for your understanding. The many other enjoyable parts of our railway trips, such as our delicious first class picnic hampers or the stunning countryside views, are of course unaffected by this loco change! 🍰🌳 We will update on conditions for the weekend closer to the time.
