Using Drama to Teach English on the West Bank: Challenges, Dangers and Rewards Thursday 12 June: 6-7pm on Zoom Raja Farah will provide an outline of her teaching context on the West Bank. This will be followed by an evaluative insight in to the realities of teaching English with drama in this highly challenging setting. Raja exposes the critical value of drama in the EFL classroom and shares her illuminations of the deeper learning processes which drama uniquely offers when teaching and learning under occupation. This is a unique opportunity to engage with Raja who has applied Heathcoatian practice to her classroom in this challenging and dangerous humanitarian crisis. While we have much to learn from her, Raja feels greatly supported by knowing that her voice is being heard outside of Palestine.
