Hedgehogs🦔 After sharing a factual book with the children all about hedgehogs, we decided to see if we could find any in our garden. We couldn’t but decided to make some houses for them to live in when they do arrive. The children used a variety of different shaped pieces of wood to design and create an enclosure which would make a home for a hedgehog. They also added leaves to keep the hedgehog warm and some acorns for it to eat. As part of the learning taking place we also talked about hedgehogs being nocturnal and hibernating over the winter. Hopefully we will get some hedgehog visitors. (fb)

Week beginning 29th Sept Shapes 🟠🔺🟩 We have been playing some games with shapes this week. To follow on this learning we made our own shape bugs using the shapes we had been using, adding legs and eyes. In the afternoon we found things in our garden to make a giant rectangle bug! (fb)
