Visit The Princess Royal Class Locomotive Trust’s WEST SHED to see iconic steam locomotives, historic railway carriages & our active engineering workshop. Please see 'Additional Information' for opening times & visiting details. (1) - The restoration, preservation, operation and display of its steam locomotives, which includes LMS Princess Coronation Class Pacific 6233 "Duchess of Sutherland";(2) - The restoration, preservation, display and where appropriate, the operation of its rolling stock;(3) - The operation of the West Shed Museum, which aims to exhibit the full history of the LMS pacific class locomotives.

THE PRINCESS ROYAL CLASS LOCOMOTIVE TRUST

We are pleased to announce that as part of the Platinum Jubilee Celebrations the locomotive Duchess of Sutherland together with locomotive Princess Margaret Rose will be displayed on the forecourt of the West Shed each day of the Jubilee Bank Holiday. The Duchess of Sutherland will be displayed bearing the Crown headboard which was carried on the front of the locomotive when it hauled the Royal Train conveying Her Majesty The Queen and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh. The West Shed Museum and workshop gallery will be open to the general public each day and refreshments will also be available. (fb)
