So many things to be joyful for 🫶 Yesterday's concert was a celebration of our 2024-25 season of Joy, whilst welcoming the excitement of announcing our 2025-26 season! ✨️Kazuki Yamada conducted a wonderful programme of music, including Bernstein's Symphonic Dances from West Side Story (spot the whistle 👀) and Saint-Saëns' Cello Concerto, played by guest soloist Kian Soltani 🎶 ✨️CBSO Assistant Conductor Rita Castro Blanco took to the podium for the final time in her residency with us to conduct Berlioz's Roman Carnival - we wish her all the best in her future endeavours! ✨️We explored the new season in our pre-concert talk, hearing highlights to look out for from the CBSO team and musicians And now we take to the road for our European Tour! 🚅 Thank you all for sharing the joy with us 😁 #cbso #orchestra #birmingham (fb)
