Overview Caring for Communities and People (CCP) is a UK-based charity registered under the number 1043143. Starting with a 10-bed hostel, the charity has grown to become a significant player in the South West's social care landscape, offering integrated accommodation and training to support sustainable independent living.
Impact
In recent years, CCP has supported nearly 10,000 people across its various services, illustrating its substantial impact on communities in need. Over 55% of those they initially work with report poor mental health and wellbeing, highlighting the importance of their support services.

Creating 'homes that care' - in partnership with local business We believe that creating spaces where people feel valued, safe, and comfortable is key to making a house truly feel like home. One of the ways we’ve been able to achieve this is through the generosity of Encon Construction, who recently pledged donations to transform one of our gardens in a home lived in by a care-experienced young person. Before the transformation, the garden was a space that had great potential but wasn’t being used to its full extent. With the help of Encon's generosity, we’ve been able to completely overhaul this area, turning it into a beautiful, tranquil garden that current and future residents can enjoy. It’s not just about the physical change – it’s about creating a space where our residents can unwind, feel at peace, and take pride in their surroundings. This garden is more than just a space; it’s a symbol of the positive change we are all working towards, helping people to feel dignified, valued, and supported in their journey towards independence, self-confidence and a better tomorrow.
