We're thrilled that Yasmeen Audisho Ghrawi is joining us at Toynbee Studios for a Lab residency. Through this two week residency Yasmeen will explore works, concrete practices and actions around REPAIRations, accountability, power, and agency in real time. REPAIRations is understood as the basic, first expression of restorative justice. How are we individually and collectively responsible in creating and perpetuating the world we live in including our participation in systems of harm and oppression- historically and presently. For now, this research will be looking at the South West Asia and North Africa region (SWANA) sprouting from Yasmeen's lived experience of growing up between Iraq and Lebanon. #residency #artistresidency (fb)

We're looking forward to welcoming Lou Robbin for a Lab residency in September! Lou is a multidisciplinary artist and wellbeing practitioner interested in creative writing, performance, sound, and producing innovative projects and events. Centering care at the core of their work, Lou uses creative play to explore themes such as personal and structural change, mental health difficulties, otherness and togetherness. Drawing upon their background in Psychotherapy, Breathwork, and Somatic practice, they wish to create experiences which catalyse rest, curiosity and growth through joy. Lou will be working on the show Tessellate, a multidisciplinary performance about questioning the source of our thinking and beliefs. Lou will use the residency to define and develop choreographic styles in the work and get some production support to bolster their next steps with the work. #residency #creativeresidency (fb)
