We have recently been named as the cause of delays and changes to the layout of the car park works. The project is being carried out and managed solely by Folkestone & Hythe District Council (FHDC). To provide clarity on the reasons for the delays and the revised layout, we are sharing the official reasons which have been shared with us from the from FHDC Regeneration & developments team: “ By way of explanation, the layout of the huts had to be adjusted because in the original design the huts were on land owned by the Crown and not by Folkestone & Hythe District Council. This subsequent design change, followed by the planning and tendering process did lead to some delays in making a start on the scheme.” The only reason we are currently closed is due to the works in the car park.
