We also include a round-up of member news in our quarterly newsletter - subscribe at the link in our bio, it’s free! 1️⃣ Coralie Turpin (@coralie_turpin_sculptor) and Jeremy Deller (@jeremydeller) unveiled their new collaborative mosaic artwork in Scarborough, commissioned by #WildEye. @invisible_dust @yorkshirewildlifetrust_ 2️⃣ Christopher Jarratt (@abstract_land) launched his film ‘Coracles of Sharrow’ at @thelight_sheffield, a joyous event celebrating the culmination of a six-month project with 11 young people. @highfieldadventuresplayground 3️⃣ Shinta Nakajima (@shintanakajima_silver) was awarded Artist of the Fair at @collectartfair 2025. Taking place in London, Collect is the leading international fair for contemporary craft and design. 4️⃣ Alison J Carr (@alliejcarr)’s new commission for the Graves Gallery is now on display as part of the exhibition ‘Portraits and the Human Figure’. The work features portraits of women from @sheffmuseums’s collection. 5️⃣ James Clarkson (@jamesklclarkson) published a new photobook, ‘Sleeper’. The book contains self-portraits taken using an office scanner and reflects on dreams about the workplace. Available from @villagebooks.co 6️⃣ Lianne Mellor (@liannemellor) is showing new work in a solo exhibition at @boweryleeds, 30 May - 21 August. ⚡️ TESTING GROUND - OPEN DAYS ⚡️ If you’ve been eagerly following Emma’s progress online or perhaps watching curiously through the gallery windows, now is your chance to get up close to the work they have been developing! We are hosting two Studio Open Days this week on Fri 25 and Sat 26 April, 12-4pm. You are welcome to visit the space during this time, see Emma at work & ask questions. Entry is free. Since starting their residency, Emma has been developing an “expanded painting stage set” that now occupies most of the space. They are also experimenting with different ways of lighting the work that audiences can get involved with - maybe if you ask during your visit, they might give you a sneak peek! 🔦 @emma_bolland (fb)
