The synagogue is known for its vibrant community, encompassing about 500 members from diverse backgrounds. It hosts Shabbat services and observes all major festivals and life events. The community is actively engaged in learning programs for all ages, with a thriving Cheder (Hebrew school) and a Sunday morning Gan (nursery). Additionally, there are social events and activities organized centrally and by individuals with special interests. The community is led by its Rabbi and an annually elected Board of members.

Architecture and Name

The synagogue's sanctuary is notable for its light wood and glass design, reflecting its Hebrew name, Beit Or, meaning "House of Light". This design choice symbolizes the community's focus on enlightenment and openness.

Leadership

As of recent years, the synagogue has been led by Rabbi Laura Janner-Klausner. The community operates under a governance model where members are actively involved in managing and funding its activities.
