Just a quick post to clear something up. Despite quite a lot of people thinking the contrary, Hoops does not have any outside pitches. The pitches directly behind Hoops belong to Hawcoat Park and are nothing whatsoever to do with Hoops. The misunderstanding possibly arises from Hawcoat Park referring to these pitches as 'Hoops pitches' or 'Hawcoat Park Hoops pitches' which is understandable as a means of identifying the pitch but does also create confusion. So, for the avoidance of any doubt Hoops does not have outdoor pitches, therefore anyone attending the pitches howsoever referred to, are not Hoops patrons and are not attending Hoops activities/events so should not be expecting to use our car park and facilities. There is a gap in the fence at the end of the pitch onto Cliffe Lane aka Muddy Lane and a gate onto Hawcoat Park club site, so please avail yourselves of their amenities/facilities. Thanks. (fb)
