July pan across, facing North into the main Lawson Park borders: Lots of: Sanguisorba officinalis Verbena officinalis Cephalaria gigantea Lythrium salicaria (prob a hybridised with Bright Lights variety) Filipendula venusta (had for ages - brought by lovely gardener of old, George) Telekia speciosa (bought from Great Dixter - the pot had rooted down into the soil and I thought that’s a plant for Lawson Park LOL) Macleaya cordata (reminds me of all our Japan projects as it grew everywhere in Toge) Fallopia (unknown beast of a variety from Larch Cottage Nursery outside Penrith) Stachys officinalis ‘Hummelo’ Geranium psilostemon Geranium ‘Ann Folkard’ (way too similar in hue - need separating) Still to get into flower in this area are eupatorium, crocosmia (Fire King & Emily McKenzie), panicum, dahlia, sedum and various gladioli (yep, gladioli). Liking the bright clashes of the yellow and pink and purple which is found often in the wild here (think trefoil, foxglove, heather, gorse, campion) but also a nod to the cheery mid century influence indoors with the Lawson Park Collection.
