This week, our Chaplain Father George led a moving service to mark the 85th anniversary of the Battle of Britain, bringing together veterans and their families to honour the bravery and sacrifice of those who defended our skies. One of our residents, #Army Veteran George, shared his memories of that time: “I still remember the dogfights… and seeing the shadow near the bakers... and I heard one burst of a machine gun out of one of their Spitfire or Hurricane, whatever it was; he went straight down.
