Cardiff Met has become the first university in Wales to partner with PlayerData, bringing elite-level GPS performance tracking into both student learning and athlete development. Used by top football teams like Bournemouth and Crystal Palace, PlayerData is now part of our Sport & Exercise Science degrees – giving students hands-on experience with pro-level performance tech and real insight into working in sport science. Our performance athletes will also benefit, using the system to track training, recovery and wellbeing, helping them stay fit, healthy and competition ready. Cardiff Met Sport students have taken the lead in designing and promoting a limited-edition backpack made for student-athletes, by student-athletes. 🎒 Teaming up with premium fitness brand Built for Athletes, they’ve created a high-performance bag that blends performance, style and everyday functionality. This hands-on brand collaboration gave students real-world experience in media, marketing and campaign work, seeing them play a key role in bringing the product to life.
