The geography field trip extravaganza came to a crescendo with a barnstorming visit to the stunning Dyffryn Nantlle Valley. The Year 10s were split into three groups with Mr Luke Pettitt, Mr Rob Fairest and Lauren offering their excellence and supervision in providing a rewarding visit for the group. The mainstay of the day was spent in the quintessential Welsh farm of Tal y Mignedd - thanks very much to the owner- Arwel and family for hosting us once again. 😁 The river was measured at a number of sites here before an on-site sketch of the tumbling Tal y Mignedd falls was completed. A flying visit to the Poblado Coffi roasters and cafe was included before closing the day at the mouth of the river at Pontllyfni - another gem of Gwynedd. Another highly successful end to a very busy period for the department; once again utilising Gwynedd's greatest sites and harnessing Geography teacher Mr Matthew Roberts's family and friendship connections.
