Meet Abdull-Karim, a spirited 4-year-old from Pemba, Zanzibar, with dreams of becoming a doctor. Living with his family in a home without running water or electricity, last year he began struggling to breathe and had to stop attending school. Diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot, a life-threatening heart condition, Abdull-Karim traveled to Israel for life-saving surgery through Save a Child’s Heart. On June 15, 2025, his heart was successfully mended, giving him a new chance at life. Abdull-Karim is healthier, full of energy, and back in school, one step closer to his dream! (fb)
