As the end of term approaches we have a busy couple of weeks to catch you up on. From STEM activities based on making our own boats and discovering which materials are waterproof, to becoming authors and creating our own story books inside. We have also been exploring letters and sounds and exploring some early phonics with the older children and exploring time and numbers on the clock. While also enjoying time outside rain or shine. We have also had a busy few weeks visiting the big school for a forest school session and celebrating our school leavers with a party picnic. With the sizzling heat today, the children decided to open their very own Stepping Stones Summer drink stall. With a vast offering of juices, smoothies, fruity water or herb infused drinks. The children were hard at work desigining, creating and running their stall. After a busy morning, an afternoon in the shade of the garden and cooling down indoors was very much needed. (fb)
