YLSS gives new or returning string players the chance to enjoy playing together in a friendly and supportive environment! We are a Registered charity If you are an adult learner of the violin, viola, cello or bass, or played a string instrument at school and would like to start again, playing with a group with adults of similar standard, then YLSS is for you. The objectives of the charity are to promote knowledge and appreciation of music, particularly the establishment and maintenance of a community string orchestra, which will provide an opportunity for structured group learning of instrumental performance by late (adult) starters and encourage participation by them in all aspects of music.
