We welcomed Year 5 children to Princethorpe College for a Taster Day today. The youngsters enjoyed exploring life in senior school, taking part in a series of sample lessons. They also met the Transition Prefects for a Q&A, took a tour of the school, and were even treated to a legendary Princethorpe cookie! Princethorpe’s primary schools' U10s football tournament took place yesterday afternoon. We welcomed eight teams from local primaries, who were all more than delighted to put their football boots on and head out on to the astro to play. Refereed by Princethorpe’s Sixth Form Sports Leaders, the mixed teams of girls and boys threw themselves into each game enjoying the opportunity to put their skills to the test in a round robin of 10-minute games. Our congratulations go to the overall tournament winners Crescent School, well done to Milverton who finished second and Grange Farm who came third. Despite the rain showers everyone enjoyed themselves – thank you to all the teams and their supporters for coming along.
