Team Hill View travelled to Abingdon on Friday 11th July to take part in the Quadkids County Finals at Tilsley Park. After winning both the Banbury Area and North Oxfordshire finals Hill View qualified for the county finals where they would be competing against 9 of the best Primary schools in Oxfordshire who had won their area competitions. The children were excited and a little nervous but showed true Hill View spirit throughout the morning. The children showed immense determination, teamwork and encouragement and gave it their absolute all. After all the events had been completed it was an anxious wait for the results. Team Hill View came an impressive 2nd place in the county and achieved the highest score any Quadkids team has achieved at Hill View. Quadkids Athletic North Oxfordshire finals Team Hill View took the short trip to NOA last Thursday to take part in the Quadkids North Oxfordshire finals. After winning the Banbury Area competition Hill View qualified for the North Oxfordshire finals where they would be competing against 8 of the best Primary schools in North Oxfordshire who had won their area competitions. The children were excited and a little nervous but showed true Hill View spirit throughout the afternoon. The children showed immense determination, teamwork and encouragement and gave it their absolute all. Team Hill View came 1st place and crowned North Oxfordshire Champions for a third year in a row. The year 5/6 team have now qualified for the County finals on Friday 11th July at Tilsley Park in Abingdon. We also took two children from year 3/4 who had qualified individually after finishing in the top 5 boys and girls in the Wykham Park cluster competition. Jack T and Elizabeth O gave it their all and should be extremely proud of their efforts. Jack T finished and impressive 4th place overall in North Oxfordshire and Elizabeth was the quickest girl sprinter out of all the girls by more than half a second.
