We had an amazing time at our School Poetry Showcase on Thursday. Here are our 2025 Winners! Age 5-8 category: Gold - Bully by Emily Nice Silver - Words and Swords by Klara Krzyzaniak Bronze - Mighty Me by Jessue-Marrie Collins-Cole Age 9-11 category: Gold - Be by Elvy Kirk-Relph Silver - The Pen is Mightier than the Sword by Harrison Burley Bronze - Ink-Stained Love by Caitlin McDonnell Age 12-15 category: Gold - Mighty by Sophie Garabedian Silver - The Weight of a Nation by Adish Rai Bronze - Still Just a Girl by Reegan Price Age 16-18 category: Gold - Echoes of a Trembling Tongue by Evi Taylor Silver - May 5th 1821, St Helena Island by Rufus Southgate Bronze - Stabb'd through the Eye by Michael Worsley Most Poetic School Award goes to Barton Manor School - special thanks to Jade Laker, their Head of English. Thanks also to Philip Lennard, representing Canterbury Forest of Blean Rotary, and the Gulbenkian Arts Centre for hosting the event.
