Today we are celebrating Jordan, one of our long standing volunteers at our hub in Thanet, as he returns to university this month. Jordan first came to us as part of his six form work experience, and since then has become a familiar face during the academic holidays. Jordan decided to come back and volunteer and says he becomes "not just an extra pair of hands but an extra pair of arms for the staff." His biggest challenge? Making sure he got the hang of the clients drinks orders at tea break. As for any advice to new volunteers? " you should leave all stereotypes at the door as I found that none of them can do the clients justice." and "don't be shy or scared as none of the clients will bite."
