Bishop's Castle Heritage Resource Centre A local heritage store and activity centre celebrating local history and keeping it within the community for people to share and enjoy. The charity's objects are to advance the education of the public in the history of Bishop's Castle and its immediate environs by preserving, displaying and making available to the public: objects, ephemera and information related to the town, its development and its history.

The House on Crutches MuseumBishop39s Castle Shropshire About us Location opening times Childrenx27s activities Visitors Comments Search the Museum Collection Group Bookings Volunteers Information More Opening Saturday april 12th Open from 1. 30 to 4. 30pm and again on Sunday April 13th One of the best town museums in Shropshire its housed in a picturebookperfect Elizabethan timberframed building with wooden posts propping up a 17th century upstairs extension which feels wonderfully crooked inside Marie Krefttravel writer in her book Slow Shropshire Entry is free but if you can afford to please make a donation. The museum is run entirely by volunteers and relies on donations to survive.
