Seven new goats arrived last week.The owner was giving up keeping goats and they were destined to go to Thuxton market. They are very friendly and have settled in well with the goats,sheep, horses and ponies. We have four geese who are 20 plus years old and they have managed to hatch two goslings. They were tiny but are now two weeks old.Geese make the best parents, they are very protective and caring. Nothing is allowed to get too close. The ducks visit twice a day to be fed. We are having to feed hay because the grass isn't growing. We are due a delivery of 2025 hay this week In readiness for winter. Hoping it does rain tonight. justgiving.com/goatsgalore . (fb)

This years ducklings have grown up and have learnt to fly, they still visit daily to be fed. We are still having to feed our older residents and our latest feed bill came to £278 for just 22 bags. Our 2 older horses and 2 ponies need food that is easy to eat due to their lack of teeth. We also have 4 elderly goats that need to be fed twice a day.
