Our #ObjectoftheWeek is this set of photos showing men of the Household Cavalry leaving their old home at Hyde Park Barracks, London, to move to their new temporary barracks at Wellington Barracks. New accomodation for the horses was erected on the front square at Wellington Barracks. Hyde Pack Barracks was being pulled down to make way for a new barracks, designed by Sir Basil Spence. Photos taken on the morning of 2nd September 1965. (fb)
