If you go down to the woods today look out for...rabbits... well, rabbit warrens. This group of 18th century features at the north end of Wykeham forest are the best preserved examples of warrens in the north east of Yorkshire. The warrens were constructed to raise rabbits for food and fur and included numerous features to manage and trap rabbits.
