Women Connect First A Charity to Empower Black and Minority Ethnic Women Diverse Voices on Climate Change Funded by The National Lottery Community Fund Sustainable Steps Programme the Diverse Voices On Climate Change threeyear project will make Women Connect First Warms Hubs project WCFs Winter of Wellbeing WOW Hubs project will provide a Warm Bank for Black Asian and other ethnic minority women Golden Years Lets Age Well Lets Age well project aims to find ways of addressing the economic and social issues faced by Black and Minority Women Connect First Women Connect First is a registered charity led by and for Black Asian and other minoritised women and girls. We have been working for over two decades to improve the lives of minoritised women and girls from our centre in Riverside in Cardiff at the heart of the citys ethnic minority communities. We work with particularly high numbers of Black and Asian women but have minority women of almost every conceivable ethnic background making up our diverse base of staff trustees volunteers and beneficiaries. Our is to maximise the participation of minoritised women and their families in opportunities that bring together people from diverse backgrounds to learn together support each other shape and influence services and promote greater understanding of and integration into Welsh life.
