June 3, 2017...plan to join us on the big day! Welcome to Mountain Maryland & the Garrett County Celtic Festival & Highland Games! The purpose of the Highland Festival of Garrett County, (now known as the Garrett County Celtic Festival), is to “sponsor, promote, foster, perpetuate and encourage an appreciation for Celtic culture and traditions including, but not limited to: music demonstration, performances both solo and ensemble; athletic demonstration, performances and competition; dancing demonstrations; animal husbandry, demonstrations and competition; clan activities; and, commercial activity of general interest as well as Celtic interest including food and beverages.” Our continuing goal is to improve the authentic Celtic experience for our guests each year.
