As always any questions please post below or contact Megan directly * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * My name is Megan and I am a third year doctoral student on the professional clinical psychology doctorate at the University of East London. I am currently recruiting for my research which is looking to explore the impact of gender-affirming care on transgender people’s experiences of living with and managing pre-existing chronic pain. Chronic pain is an area which have not been explored very much in regards to trans people’s experiences, despite trans people having an increased risk of experiencing chronic pain. I was wondering whether you would be able to offer any support in sharing my research study? I am looking to recruit people to take part in an interview (discussion) with me. People able to take part are UK-based English-speaking trans adults who have received or are receiving at least one type of gender affirming healthcare and who experienced chronic pain prior to this. The interview can take place over a video call or in-person in London depending on their preference. All participants will be compensated with a £10 Love2Shop voucher. I have run consultations to get input into the study design and received ethical approval from the University of East London to carry out this research. (fb)
