After 9 months of residency, Gavin has completed the programme and is stepping into the next chapter of his recovery journey! Gavin came to Hope House still fighting the effects of a difficult detox—exhausted, broken, and searching for healing. With incredible strength, he leaned into every opportunity for growth: from the 12-step program and group development to morning check-ins and faith-based encouragement. Slowly but surely, he was restored—body, mind, and spirit. That journey of renewal came full circle when he was baptized on Resurrection Sunday.✝️🎯 What we witnessed was nothing short of a miracle. Client Testimony – Gavin’s Journey of Transformation Around eight and a half months ago, Gavin joined our primary stage house after being referred by a valued partnership and pathway we established with Abbington House, a treatment centre in Hertfordshire. When Gavin arrived, he was in a deeply vulnerable state—malnourished, severely underweight, and struggling with a long-term addiction to Class A substances. Since arriving at Hope House in July, Gavin has made incredible progress. He has now achieved nine months of continuous abstinence—a remarkable milestone. We are so proud to share that Gavin has grown in every area of his life. With the support of our team and his faith journey, he’s developed spiritually, emotionally, and practically, making healthier choices in his day-to-day life. Gavin is now rebuilding his life back in Leicester, restoring relationships with his family and reconnecting with his community. Gavin also serves as a peer mentor and pillar of Hope here at Hope House, helping others on their own paths to recovery.
