Did you know that Child.org works with community leaders to ensure sustainable change? 💡 As part of this, we held a meeting earlier this summer with key leaders in Narok, Kenya, to talk about maternal and child health, and Child.org's work 🌳 We met with sub county commissioners, chiefs and other community leaders in Narok. Working with chiefs is critical as they are trusted voices and gatekeepers of change within their communities. When chiefs champion health messages - such as the important of antenatal and postnatal care - these messages can reach more households 🧡 During this meeting, we spoke about Child.org's Pregnant Adolescent Groups. It was a chance to clarify that we do not encourage teen pregnancies but, given the high rate of teenage pregnancies in Narok, it is vital that pregnant adolescents have access to health information and support.
