“As you may be aware, we envisage the local church in Africa effectively caring for the dying, the orphans and the widows, and for it to be unified in this mission with the Church outside Africa. So we see a local church in Africa and the Church outside Africa coming together, to care for the children, to care for that community which is out of the way and inaccessible. The local church is the church that is based in the community. These churches provide us with pastors who interact with the children at the Care Point, teaching them good morals and praying with them. These are the churches that provide us with Care Workers and visit the children in their homes. The International Church is the Church based outside Africa, and this is the Church that is a voice for the voiceless. It is a prophetic voice that challenges and encourages people so that a child in the community can have a meal and be cared for in an effective and holistic manner.” Gideon, Regional Support Team Leader (Malawi) (fb)
