BOOK AID FOR AFRICA - ADDRESSING THE IMBALANCE IN EDUCATIONAL PROVISION IN AFRICA It was the Late Nelson Mandela who said "education is the most powerful weapon that can change the world". Therefore, Book Aid for Africa has been on a mission to address the imbalance in educational provision since 2007. On Friday, 14th February, BAFA despatched a 20ft container load of 621 boxes containing close to 40,000 books to Monrovia, Liberia. This shipment was made possible by the generous donation of the Legacy of Doreen Jean Neil Estate. This is the largest single consignment made by BAFA. The books will be distributed across all levels of education in Liberia - primary, secondary and tertiary. To date, BAFA has shipped over half a million books to several countries in Africa.
