For over 30 years, we’ve had the privilege of adapting clothing for one of our longest-standing customers, ever since he was a baby. Each time he grows or changes, we carefully update our patterns to make sure his clothes fit him perfectly. Ahead of this winter, we worked on three of his favourite jumpers. And this was no simple sleeve-shortening job. Instead, we completely scaled down one sleeve on each jumper, from cuff to shoulder, so that it mirrors the other side in every way. This process is highly skilled: we have to unpick the entire sleeve, resize the pattern, rebuild the sleeve to the correct proportion, and then reattach it seamlessly so it looks like it was always made that way. The result is a set of jumpers that fit beautifully and feel just right. What might look like a small change from the outside makes a big difference to our customer’s comfort, confidence, and independence.
