On Rare Disease Day, we pleased to share some of the vital progress currently being made through our DMD Care UK programme. -New physiotherapy and OT guidelines- This month new guidelines were published for physiotherapy and occupational therapy - both of which are vital for helping people with Duchenne continue to move and live well for as long as possible. Two pieces of guidance have been published: one for clinicians and one for families, aiming to achieve best standards of care at every stage of Duchenne. -Vamorolone evidence review- Following the excellent news of the approval of the steroid alternative treatment vamorlone, DMD Care UK’s steroid working group has just published its summary of available evidence on vamorolone.
