**3️⃣** Activations of Public Access Defibrillators, within our area, that we support with the last 24 hours - 2 of which fully deployed & used. Whilst we don’t know any details of these incidents or the outcomes, our thoughts are very much with all those involved 🙏🏼 Our aim is to raise awareness of the importance of these devices in our community & to keep these devices available for our community 24/7. What we do now …. 1. Site 1: Unused defib checked by our volunteers & booked back available on the circuit 🖥️ ✅ (National database) 2. Site 2: Communicated with the landlady & the used defib is back in the cabinet awaiting us to check & replace the defibrillator pads. 3. Site 3: Communicated with landlord & defib not yet returned, our volunteers have contacted WMAS to help us locate defibrillator. Often used defibrillators will go with the ambulance crew back to the ambulance ‘hub’ & we can hopefully locate, restock & return 🤞🏼 As mentioned above our thoughts remain with all involved. We are proud that we have these devices in the right places for our community when needed 🙏🏼 & proud of our volunteers for helping to get them back available asap 👍🏼 (When you call 999, the need to activate a public access defibrillator is based on the answers to the questions asked by the call taker. A defibrillator isn’t always used each time it is activated. The defibrillators located within our community are designed to be used by any member of the public without any training.
